Chapter 1:

Types of Bullying

First of all, there is physical bullying. You may know that bullies hit or kick the victim. Moreover, the victim is a weaker person in comparison to the bully. So, you need to report any incident of physical violence which you witness at your school or home place. Also, if bullies are reported then potential victims could be saved from the beatings. Also, you should know that physical bullying occurs due to an imbalance in power. Therefore, you will see a strong group and a weak group. And the strong ones exert pressure on the weak group. Moreover, bullying behavior is repetitive. You must see a pattern in bullying. More often bullying regularly targets people. Also, such behavior is toxic and bad. You will see several types of bullying. Also, there are characteristics of bullying.

The second type of bullying is verbal bullying. Moreover, when you are superior to another then you hold power and can abuse your power. I have seen people who are seniors try to abuse their juniors over trifle matters. For instance, if your subordinate made a tiny grammar mistake then you lash out at him for a long period. Your scolding’s were not proportional to the mistake made. More than often I have seen people venting their anger at poor people who work under them. Sometimes the level of verbal abuse is so much that the victim suffers from anxiety and depression.

And the third type of bullying is relational aggression. You may not hit or kick the victim but may spread lies about her. For instance, you hate your colleague and you do not want to be seen as an aggressor so you tell others lies about her.
